Finally! The weather has cooperated and given us a picture perfect day. Low humidity, a cool 69 degrees, puffy white clouds, AND LIGHT WINDS. I've been waiting for this day to fly my planes. Took out the Extra 300S, two of the sailplanes, and the little Mosquito. I wish I had some pics of them in the air, but my hands were a little too busy to snap photos. Anyhoo, the flying was wonderful. The Extra looked magnificent against that blue and white sky. Landing was a challenge however. This big plane doesn't like to slow down and without any headwind she came in fast--but nice landings nonetheless. The field gives me just enough room. The scale glider is still tail-heavy and a handful to control--gotta fix that CG issue. The other glider (Radian) performed beautifully--got a 20 minute power-off flight. Great thermals today. The Mosquito didn't fair too well--crashed it on the second flight. It's just too squirrelly. Hope to have it fixed soon.
