Bawoo is bored and she will do anything to find some excitement in her life, even if it means running into the woods where no lamb ever dares to tread. Come join the adventure as the 2019 lambing season has begun, frought with peril and cute little adorable sheep.
Poor little Frodo. The banding on his tail did not adequately do the job, and now his tail won't drop off. Time to call the vet for a little snip snip procedure so that our little lamb can rejoin his friends and not be self-conscious about his tail anymore.
Farmer Tom expected a nice easy solo flight out to Eagle Lake to practice some maneuvers. What he got was one nerve-wracking trip around the pattern. Come join the adventure as a fast approaching cloud bank from Lake Michigan makes life very interesting for this student pilot.
It was very intimidating to take this next step in my training--to fly away from the home airport and practice maneuvers all my myself. I don't know if it was the previous run-in with low clouds or just the thought of doing stalls and steep turns without my instructor. But I just was a little scared.
It's November 23, 2019. Time for the adventure--my first cross country solo flight. Beginning at Racine Batten Field, I headed west and landed at Burlington Airport, WI. From there, I flew north all the way to Hartford, WI only to encounter a strong crosswind for landing. Then back home.

For some strange reason, each new batch of lambs are drawn to play on Babysheep's back. We don't know why, but it is fun to watch. There is nothing more endearing than watching little sheep dance--a great memory of our 2019 lambs.
Farmer Tom is leaving the world behind---so to speak. Come along and sit in the cockpit during Lesson 2 of his Flight Training. It's one of the most exciting thing he's ever done (right up there with swimming with sharks). But be careful, you might get the flying bug yourself.
Flying to four airports in an hour is challenging. Navigating, tuning radio frequencies, talking to the tower, and approaching unfamiliar airports is enough for this student pilot's head to explode. Fortunately Farmer Tom's head stayed intact, but it became very weary after this day of flying.
Landing a plane is hard skill to master. The only way to get good is to practice, practice, and practice some more. Come along on the adventure with Farmer Tom as he takes to the skies before and after dusk on a beautiful Fall day in October.
It was the greatest challenge of Farmer Tom's life. But the challenge was met with a lot of work and a lot of persistence. On January 1, 2020 I passed my checkride. I am now a licensed pilot. A big thank you to Sharon and everyone else who supported me. My long time goal is finally realized!
