It's Christmas Eve and I spent some quality time with the animals today. Here's a selfie of Farmer Tom and Barney. He is, by far, our friendliest goat...Barney, that is...the one of the left.

Since the weather has been snowless and mild, I thought to begin one of the projects I had originally planned for next Spring--a new trail cut through the middle of the Beaver Park woodlands. It connects to the Spooky Hollow Trail, turns south, and opens into the newly made campground where the bunkhouse cabin will eventually be built. As you can see, Bear enjoyed our walk through it. I don't know what to name the trail as of yet but "The Path to the Dark Side" is a contender.
It's hard to tell. We had that huge snowfall in November and not much else since. Other than the sullen skies, the weather has moderated beautifully. These pics show the last snow we had on December 2nd, which was only half an inch:
