On Friday August 3 we will be saying a fond farewell to our ewe lambs. They have found a great home in Bristolville, Ohio. I've tried my best to not get too attached to this year's lambs; but alas, Sofie has wriggled her way into my heart. It will be very hard to say goodbye to my "Sofie-Sheep". So I will take many pictures to keep her memory alive. Here's one as I greeted her this morning.

Last week our our beloved cat, Bruce, returned to the farm after having been absent for over 10 days. He was not well. Starved and suffering from a massive bacterical infection, we quickly rushed him to the vet. After two major surgeries, he is back home recovering. So far so good, but it will take more than a month of wound care to get him healthy again. Poor little kitty.  |
