Wow, it's been a long time since I posted on our farm blog. The reason? We bought and built and are now flying our very own airplane!
Wow, it's been a long time since I posted on our farm blog. The reason? We bought and built and are now flying our very own airplane!
To say we've been just a little busy is the understatement of the year. But I will try to keep everyone up to speed on what's been happening on the farm. Due to the COVID pandemic the sheep market has tanked and we're taking the precaution of not breeding our ewes this year out of concern that we will not be able to find enough buyers for the lambs. So, for the time being, we have some farm pets (10 ewes, two rams (Fabio and AndyLamb), four goats (Gary, Barney, Daisy and Babygoat) two barn cats (Mute and Bootsie) and one loveable donkey (Daryl). So no lambs for the coming year, but we plan to start breeding again in the Fall of 2021. Here's hoping all the craziness will be over by then.
