The folks who purchased #52 & #52 were nice enough to send us a few pics of their new home in Belvidere, IL. Those are some handsome looking rams!

Yesterday we said goodbye to our two last rams from our 2015 batch. Norma's little ram (#52) and Smooth's ram (#51) were sold to a farm in Belvidere, IL. There they will live out their days building the owner's flock of Polypay sheep. We wish them well. So that's it. No more lambs for sale and not one went to market this year. Here's a last look at #51 and #52
Today is the day we must separate the rams from the ewes. We plan to breed our sheep in early September, so Fabio and our last two rams (#51 & #52) must be by themselves for the next month and a half. Hopefully we won't have to deal with any separation anxiety. Right now, it's just Farmer Tom who feels bad about having to break up the herd. But he would feel worse if we ended up with November lambs and had to feed them all winter long (which is really expensive). We'll keep you updated on the situation.
A bittersweet farewell to our Lizzy's two rams (#53 & #54). These are our youngest males, and on July 3rd we delivered them to the Dierk's family farm. Sad to say goodbye. Happy that they found a great home with some of our sheep that we sold to the Dierks last year. We also got to see some of our "grandchildren" --a beautiful multicolored lamb named "Nutmeg" and two other lambs. Our rams seemed intrigued by the Llamas. Here are some pics...
