The south paddock is ready and filled with lush new grass. Our sheep went nuts on it when we turned them out yesterday. The Summer continues to hang on around here; and while I look forward to the cooler Fall season, the lingering warmth has caused our pastures to grow exceedingly well as of late. We're confident that the fields will provide plenty of food during the Fall and early Spring.

On the first of every September, we turn our ram out onto the ewes for breeding. Fabio has been waiting for this moment since early June. And he is very happy to be back. However, he is nursing a sore hoof as of late since he cut it whilst banging it relentlessly on the wire gates demanding to be let in with the ewes. He should recover soon enough, but his sore foot is making him lie down more often. However, his malady is not bad enough to keep him from his studly duties. Welcome back, Fabio. Now all is right with the world.
